About us
Get to know us better: What shared values drive us? And who are these cool people who are making your life a little bit more digital?
Full-on functional thinking from Flensburg
Lambda – the Greek letter “λ” – stands for longitude in nautical and geographical terms. Flensburg, our home city in the North of Germany, is located on the 9th degree of longitude. Together, these two elements form our name: lambda9. But lambda stands for so much more: in computer science, it is both the identifier for anonymous functions and a symbol of functional programming. Explaining this would go beyond the scope of this text, but it can be summed up in three words: efficient, practical, solution-oriented – and that's exactly how we think too!
Since 2019, we have been creating digital solutions for our customers and skillfully implementing them in IT systems, always aiming to make workflows more efficient. What started with a handful of people at the lisezwei technology center in Flensburg has now grown into an impressive team of around 30 bright minds. In addition to developers with different areas of spezialization, our team now also includes experts in design and marketing, enabling us to provide you with comprehensive support in the development of solutions.
Our values What drives us
-
We make it happen
Following the motto “Just do it,” we approach every project with a healthy dose of pragmatism. We rely on the individual strengths of our team members to find the right solution for every problem. That's a promise.
-
We foster community
Team spirit and mutual exchange are very important to us. In our daily office routine, during lunch together, but also at regular events such as summer parties and Christmas celebrations.
-
We are on the same level
Almost every company claims to have flat hierarchies; we have reduced them to a minimum. As part of the community, each and every individual bears responsibility for what is done and how it is done. The management team itself is part of the interdisciplinary teams.
-
We support each other
We understand the personal situation of everyone: Therefore flexible working hours, working from home, parental leave, and part-time work are a matter of course. If problems arise, no one is left out in the cold; instead, the team lends a helping hand.
-
We love open source
As advocates of the open source concept, much of our work is based on open source software and open technologies—for greater participation and transparency in the digital world. We provide our products to non-profit organizations free of charge.
-
We look ahead
We believe that good provision for the future creates satisfaction in the present. We support retirement provision, for example, through deferred compensation. We are also happy to promote further training, and specialist literature is purchased at the company's expense if required.
