We are convinced that the Kirby content management system is the best choice for our and your web projects. It forms the foundation of the website and manages all content. Unlike most CMS such as Wordpress, Typo3, or Drupal, Kirby does not require a database—as a so-called flat-file CMS, it simply stores content in folders and files.
What does that mean in practice?
You get a lightweight website that is easy to maintain and runs smoothly on almost any environment. Content can be easily edited via the intuitive admin panel, even without technical knowledge. Whether you need a one-pager, blog, shop system, or custom solution, Kirby is a true all-rounder and can be flexibly expanded. It can also be connected to an existing database. What's more, Kirby is made in Germany and attaches great importance to data protection: the basic configuration does not require any cookies or trackers.

What’s required from me to get a website developed?
As a general rule, the more you can contribute initially—whether specific requests or existing text, image, and design material—the easier it will be for us to design your website exactly according to your ideas. But don't worry: we can also work well with just a few specifications and are happy to support you in creating content and graphics. To operate the website later on, you will need a domain and web space to host the site. If you don't have these yet, we will be there to advise and assist you.

Wouldn't it be much easier to have AI build a website for me?
AI tools such as ChatGPT can actually create websites from scratch in record time. So you might think that man-made websites would soon be history. But when it comes to implementing individual requirements and creating unique designs, AI quickly reaches its limits. This is, incidentally, in the nature of things: the knowledge of artificial intelligence is based entirely on things that were developed by humans at some point. For strategic planning, creative implementation, and long-term support, there will therefore always be a need for experienced developers and designers.

Do I have to ask lambda9 every time I want to change something on the website?
No. We create the website content so that you can edit as much content as possible yourself via an easy-to-use admin interface. So if, for example, a new team member needs to be introduced or the opening hours change, you can easily edit the data yourself. Of course, lambda9 is always available to advise you.

Can my website also be implemented with WordPress or TYPO3?
We are generally very flexible when it comes to the use of technologies and systems – the decisive factor is what suits your personal project best. We are committed to Kirby as a content management system – we have already explained why – but if another CMS is more suitable for your website, we are open to this.
